Our Menu
So every month I put together a meal plan. Nothing fancy, but keeps me in my budget and I never have to think of something to eat.
I don't know if any one cares, but I thought I would post my past month and I might post next month. I will also try to link my recipes into it.
My only warning is I have DUTY days marked because my hubby works, but you could use those as your left over days.
*One more note I usually try to double up our favorite recipes.

One year ago I took the millionth pregnancy test and finally liked my answer!
If you have ever read any of my posts you know that I suffer from Polycystic ovary syndrome PCOS. It messes with my hormone levels and cycles. So for the past 6 years I did not have a regular cycle, some would say I was lucky only having a period every few months. For me it stunk! I said I took the millionth pregnancy test, it may not have technically been, but it sure seems like I peed on a lot of those!
I thought I was the happiest I had ever been on my wedding day, but OH MY I never knew the happiness that came with finding out I was pregnant. I wanted to tell the world, but alas CJ and I decided to wait till Father's day to tell everyone.
I knew the next 9 months would be the best or the worse, but thankfully I was blessed with a FANTASTIC pregnancy. No morning sickness! The only real issues I had was my sciatic nerve was pinched every once in a while. I also grew to be very plump!
The day Ammon was born I again thought I had already felt as much joy as I could, but Heavenly Father showed me I was wrong. As soon as Ammon was in my arms I cried and was so in love!
This month my little guy is 4 months old! I am so blessed to have such a sweet little boy. His smile is contagious and his giggle is music to my ears!
I am very excited to see what his beautiful life will bring! I love you Lil' Man!

Not baby related
I know crazy right! I used to hate all the kid updates only, but really a parents life no longer consists of anything but what a kid does! Crazy!
So my calling here in Norfolk is a ward missionary. I was not to excited for this calling. I have had the calling before and never really did anything, but not in this ward! I LOVE it. I am not able to make it to the weekly meeting just because they are right at Ammon's bed time, but the Sister Missionaries call at least once a week to go with! Not only do I get a break, but I get to meet some interesting people and get a taste of their heart ache and love.
First time out with them we went to an investigator (Lydia). When we got there her roommate asked to join us. Of course she can, so we were just suppose to teach about the restoration of the Church and well, I am not quite sure what we taught or how it was taught. I thought we had gained some ground, but wasn't sure. The roommate was very knowledgeable about the Bible and many of the scriptures. She was very strong about her devotion to God, but I am not sure of the Love part for Christ and God. She knew they have helped her life and she was "saved", but we asked her to pray and ask for truth and she pretty much refused and said God can not make her "feel" the truth she has to research and find it herself.
Believe it or not we were invited back! But this time the Sisters had a bit more information about the roommate. She had been in touch with man pairs of Missionaries before and they had stopped contacting to her. We gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked what had happened. She had said they would not answer her questions and would just leave. So with out going into a crazy amount of details here is what I felt. She had no love in her life, she did not feel. I know it is strange, but She asked how we knew the Gospel was true and we all 3 said we could feel it in our hearts and Heavenly Father helped us feel the truth. She did not like that answer. She asked how we knew the book of Mormon was true, again we went to prayer and feeling, Again she did not like our answer and quoted something in the Bible that actually proved our point, but she interpreted it very differently. By this time my heart was ready to beat out of my chest. I just kept thinking she does not feel anything, nothing at all. It was hard and sadly I had to walk out and leave the house.
This woman made me feel stronger in my testimony of the truth and feel very sad for her. The Sisters were very sorry for inviting me, but I am glad I went. I had never experienced such a strong presence of Satan. Crazy but it was like a battle of Gods right there in the kitchen and we were not going to let her destroy what we know to be true!
Since we have tried reaching Lydia, the original contact, but the Sisters have not been successful.
That day I knew who I was and what I believed in was true!! I know my Savior loves me and has given me such an amazing life! If you want to know more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you can visit two sites; Mormon.org and LDS.org

My First Mother's Day
My First Mother's day has been very good. CJ took care of Ammon and made me breakfast in bed. Then at church my Visiting Teacher gave me some chocolate covered strawberries!
Mother's Day did not used to be such a joyous day for me actually I dreaded it every year. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed celebrating the mothers in my life, but it hurt.
I was so jealous of all those who had children and how easy some got there children. I would cry every year and pout and have a pity party.
BUT now I have THE sweetest little man and have so much love for him. I never knew how much my heart could give to another human being. He is my world and every time it is just him and I rocking to sleep I usually end up shedding a tear because I am so blessed to have him.
Oh and I can not forget my four legged kids! Abby sat down as we were taking pictures so we called Gage over and got a picture.
