March Madness

March was a busy month!  I was able to take little man on an adventure down to Mississippi to see my sister and brother-in-law, but got a little side trip to see some extended family that we have not seen in years!!!

The first set of pictures was in Jackson Children's Museum.  We met my Grandparents, Aunt, and a few cousins there.  It also included two great grand kids.  Lil' man had a lot of fun playing with various parts of the Museum including and the most fun the water!

My oldest Cousin Heather and I. 2 of the 4 girl granddaughters (not very flattering pictures, but my grandmother just points and shoots).

This little guy is one of the great grand kids (forefront of the picture).

Cousin Heather and her daughter Brianna and my sister and I

After our little trip up north, lil' man and I spent a week with my sister!  They are the best of buds!  He loved cuddling with her and hanging out with her!

Oh and Dusty!  We can't forget lil' man's favorite part was my sister's dog.  Those two really miss each other and Dusty goes looking for him!

On my down to Mississippi I was able to break the trip into two days and spend some time with a great friend of mine in Jacksonville FL.  I loved having a break, but on my way up I was trying to make time because Hubby had an extra day off before he was going to leave.  So it took lil' man and I 17 hours to get home.  It was a really long day!
The next picture is of lil' man sound asleep the day after our trip.  I guess it really took a lot out of him to travel all day too!

The fun did not stop there!  We were able to take a little trip to our local zoo as well.  We went with a good friend of mine and Lil' man loves her daughter.  They are so cute together!

These last pictures were for Easter Sunday.  Nana and Papa Reynolds sent lil' man a very handsome suit to wear.  He looked very dapper.

See told you it was full of stuff for us to do.  It was also a crazy work month for Hubby. His ship was suppose to get out of ship yard this month, but it never made it out.  There was to much rush on the maintenance that it was not being properly checked so it put a lot of stress on him and the rest of crew.  The ship was suppose to be out weeks ago.  Here's to next month hopefully they leave!!

Snow, Snow and MORE Snow

The end of February and beginning of March have been super cold and full of snow.  It really just dumped on us!
The first time it snowed CJ had some snow days to spend with us so we took advantage of it and went to play!

That week was full of snow and unfortunately ended up freezing our drain pipe from our furnace and we had no heat through out the house. I had to get creative and used our oven all day to keep us warm and then thankfully a family in our Church ward let us borrow their space heater and electric blanket to get us through the night.  Maintenance came 5 hours after I called it in and put a heater in with the furnace to help thaw pipes and we finally got heat 33 hours later. We never called to let them know it was back on and thought the heater would come in handy with the next storm coming. We had heat the whole time!

And then came round 2 and 3 in the same week!
My dogs thought they were snow dogs, they loved being outside. If you looked at the six backyards in our row the first four were nice and clean snow that glistened in the barely there sun. Then you look at ours and our neighbors and you can tell we have dogs and that they played hard!

We have a few Cardinals that live in the trees in our front yard. This male had been around all week and after the last thick snow he was still hanging out around the trees. Beautiful bright red!
