March Madness

Well I have no clue about basketball or who is playing but in our house it has been madness!
Sailor was able to receive new orders that will have us moving to North Charleston SC. We are very excited for this move and have been preparing for it for a year now!
We decided since we will be there for a couple years that we would buy a house.
So we took a weekend and went looking!
We had 7 houses lined up for the first day and found that we liked a few but that Sailor and I could not agree on one.  It was a long day and the kids did really good. Lil' Miss slept in the car for 2 of them and Lil' Man's patience with us ran out and he ended up watching a movie in the van for the last 2 houses. We felt defeated not being able to agree.
The second day we decided to see some new build houses and one other house.  Both in neighborhoods we really liked and wanted to be in.  The new builds held a great opportunity to have everything just how we wanted but it was at the top of our budget. All the other houses there was something that was going to have to be done to make it fit our needs and add to our costs as well.
So after talking to each other and praying about it, Hubby and I decided that a new build would be our best option.
We loved all the features of the house and like I said the neighborhood was exactly where we want to be. Since we're military it'll also be a good home to resale.
It is twice as much space then we have now and well I'm pretty sure we can fill it up with no problem!

We have been able to choose some of the features and watch the progress of our home.
Now we just cross our fingers and praying that it gets done in our time limit and
we can finally start the next chapter.

After the hard work of looking for a house we got to enjoy some
great friends and Downtown Charleston!

We'll be moving this summer and we are very excited to have a new adventure and share some of our favorite places with our kids and extended family.  Thankfully it is also going to be a lot closer to my parents and sister so we'll be able to visit a little more often.

A New Year a New Post

Well I know I am 3 months late but I'll catch you up in pictures then get to the most recent stuff.  We have had a busy 3 months and have enjoyed some much needed family time!

January was a bit chilly. We had a good snow storm
that had the snow stick around for about 5 days.
We were also able to attend a hockey game and a Monster Truck Rally.

End of January beginning of February Grammie and Poppa came out to visit.
We went up to DC and visited the Udar Hazy Center (Air and Space)
and the National Archives.  The adults were also able to go to the Temple!

February 4th we celebrated Lil' Man's 4th Birthday Ninja Turtle style!
Thanks to Erin Rigby for the AWESOME turtle cake! We played pin the mask on the turtles.
and opened some cool presents!

Later in February we got a few warmer days and headed north to Monticello
with the Semler family to visit Thomas Jefferson's home.

This is the Many Faces Of Lil' Miss!

These two kids are our whole world! They make us so happy.
I'm so thankful that Lil' Man is such a good big brother.
Lil' Miss loves him as well!

November 2015

Well this month we saw the good the bad and the ugly.  Yup all with in 18 days... That's right not even the entire month went by without having some memorable moments in our family

Let's start with the good! Grammie and Poppa Warren came out to visit!
We got a chance to go to the Washington DC Temple and seal some of my father in laws
family together.
Then we headed south to the Outer Banks to see some of our favorite places
like the Wright Brother memorial and to try something new and take a ferry ride back home.

While in Outer Banks we took some pictures and announced to everyone
about the new baby.  I love this picture!

Then we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early with family in town.
It was nice to be with family for a week and have their love and support.

Now the UGLY...  Sadly while family was in town Lil' Man had an ear infection.
We quickly got on medication and it seemed to clear up just fine.
But after everyone left and a week after we started the meds he had
an awful reaction to Amoxicillin. He swelled up and got a rash all over.
We ended up in the ER twice in two days. Thankfully CJ was able to be home and help, becasue
I could not handle lil man having to get an IV for fluids and medicine. Lil man did such a great job and handle it very well, he wanted to be held the entire time. It took two weeks for the rash to finally go away and a lot of cuddles and coconut oil and whatever he wanted to do to heal.

Finally the bad... Well we had to say see you later to Sailor hubby.  I can't believe he is going on his second deployment and will miss a lot of growth between lil man and the new baby.  We are nervous about the time alone but we are proud of who he is and all that he has accomplished!
We love you Hubby and wish you the safest deployment and return home!

It is not going to be easy to be with out our Sailor but we have plans to be with family as much as we can and lil man has told me he will be a good big brother and help while the baby is in mommies tummy. Should be an interesting next couple months.

Love the Fall

This fall we started a mom lead preschool. All the kiddos are two, a little young but it is nice to give Lil' Man a chance to learn and play with new friends. We meet once a week and have some music time and then an alphabet lesson. He loves going to "School."

Lil' Man loves to be like daddy, whether it's at the ship or on Sunday.  CJ's mom got the boys matching ties to wear. We love them!

We finally got our first picture of the newest peanut in the family. We are so excited that it was doing really well and growing right on track.  I was only having mild food aversions but other than that another smooth pregnancy.

Then we were able to go to a Pumpkin Festival/ Patch with our great friends the Semlers. Lil' Man had so much fun with all the great activities and then getting to pick out his own pumpkin! It was so nice to have this family time together.

Now to carve said pumpkins.  Sadly though Lil' man's pumpkin was already starting to go bad.  He did not like the feel of the seeds and all the inners, but he did like stabbing the pumpkin to make his face and then well just stabbing it.  All of our pumpkins went bad about 2 days after we carved them so we only got a quick picture before CJ had to pitch them. Lil' man's didn't even make it a day.

Halloween our Church ward had a Trunk or Treat festival and every year we dress a like as a family. This year CJ and I got to reuse our Halloween costumes from a couple years and I was able to make Lil' Man one to match so we could be a skeleton Family. This is also when we decided to tell friends at church that we were expecting!

Quick trip to AZ

At the end of September my Great Grandpa turned 100, so I thought it would great to be able to attend his birthday party.  So Lil' Man and I jumped on a plane by ourselves and crossed the country.

He did really well especially with a little movie time.  He did complain about his ears on the way down into Phoenix but other than that he really enjoyed the ride.

When we got into town we were able to finally announce to the family that we were expecting another baby.  Everyone was shocked that we kept it a secret for the entire month.  I was shocked too! I stink at keeping secrets!
.

Then we just spent time with the family, my mom took us to the lake and then to the Out of Africa park to feed some animals
.

Then we headed to CJ's family and got a lot of cousin time in.

We even got some great professional pictures done.

Then finally we were able to attend my Great Grandpa's Birthday party.

I'm so thankful that I was able to attend his party this would be the last time I saw him before he passed away in October. I'm so blessed to have known this man and be a part of his lineage. He always knew who we were (more so by what daughter we belonged to) but he never lost that part of his memory.  He was a great patriarch in a wonderful Family.
Till we meet again Grandpa!

Camping trip

CJ had some leave he needed to use so we decided to hit the road and head north west of Richmond to do some camping.  Sadly this is the first time we have gone since we had Lil' Man. We were the only tent campers at the Natural Chimneys and we loved not having neighbors and we could run and play!

Then we headed a little bit north to the Natural Caverns! We took a tour and had so much fun discovering a great piece of nature! CJ was in aww about the entire thing and Lil' man like it for the first little bit but towards the end he was getting tired.

Our camping trip was a little eventful in the way that our mattress popped and we about froze to death the second night, but we had so much fun spending time as family and disconnecting from the world and all our worldly problems.

The best part of our trip though was that we came home to a surprise...

I was so tired and just wanted to sleep on our trip and CJ said "you might be pregnant."  I thought he was kidding but ha lo and behold we are!
