Forget the roses! We painted the bathroom red!!

So one morning I was laying in bed and I rolled over to CJ and said, "HMMM I think I want to paint the bathroom." He said "Ok we will price paint and have a plan." We went to Home Depot and while there I choice the color and everything, and I guess I will just let the pictures talk!

I loved making my bathroom mine, next the outside of the house so it is not pink anymore. Probably Fall break!

Crazy Start

Well my first week in my second year is done! Yay! But it did not start out very easy!
At the end of last year because of all the budget crisis I was handed a RIF letter (Reduction in Force). Then I had to call my principal to ask if he wanted me back (I would do anything to just have a job this year), and he said yes I want you to come back as Kindergarten. Ok cool see in July. So at the end of the month I went in to get my keys, they gave them to me and I happily started to unpack and figure out what I was going to do for my classroom. Tuesday morning before I was official do back my principal calls and asks to see me in his office ASAP. School hasn't even started and already I am in trouble. Nope he wanted tot ell me my job once again is in the air. We did not have as many Kinders sign up than he had hoped, so if they did not get the numbers by the end of the week he was going to give me second grade with pretty much all the same kids from last year. So he told me to stop unpacking my room and to sit tight till Friday when he made the decision. AHHH I was pulling my hair out. I needed to start getting stuff put away and sort through them, I am crazy like that. So three days later he called up and said "Ok I am just going to have to decide, your going to second grade."
So now I have a great looking room and an awesome team to work with and well am excited to see my students progress through this year!

Now onto CJ, well it is his last year!!! We are so excited, I can't wait till I don't have to worry about my job! He is just taking nursing classes which helps with study time, but he also has to work full time just to keep his insurance. He likes where he works, but is ready to move onto bigger and better things. I am a little worried because that will probably take us to Phoenix, where he can work at a Trauma one center!

Other than that we are doing great and still just as in love as ever!

Las Vegas

Well I had never been to Las Vegas and found the chance to. My mom needed another car to take up kids to EFY in Vegas, and well I said yes, and asked Karisa to come along. Well we decided to stay there for the week!
We had alot of fun! We walked down on the strip pretty much everyday. We went to most of the casinos and looked at art, and other attractions.

We were going to go to the Temple while there, but soon found out that it was closed for parking lot repave and cleaning repairs! We were really bummed, but managed to get a couple good pictures from it!

Luckily Karisa's Parents own a timeshare and we were able to stay there. It was great, like a little condo. 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Full Kitchen (including cookware), a living room, and dining room, plus a washer and dryer. The facility also had a pool and a free shuttle down to the strip.
I enjoyed my time there with Karisa and my husband (he came up at the end of the week), but I will have to say that since I neither gamble nor drink I will probably never go back! Thank you Karisa for the great time and great place to stay!

First Year Girls Camp!

O wow- How crazy a couple days camp was. I had so much fun. Since I am a convert to the church I was never able to experience girls camp. I knew from my sister that it was a lot of fun outdoors activities and projects, but I never thought it would be as great as it was! So here are a few of my favorite pictures!
It was an early morning! We met the buses at 7am!

Because of seating shortages I drove my car up and since I had no clue where I was going I had to follow the buses all the way to Pine!

The camp director and I bunked with the first and second years. We found we fit with them more since we were both first timers. I thought we were so prepared for this trip, but when we arrived we saw other leaders pulling out rubbermaid bucket after bucket of stuff. I still have no clue what they brought!

The Third year hike was on how to read a compass it was a neat experience!

Our trooper fourth years dirty and smelly from there two day hike!

This year for camp our theme was Get Serious, It is Time! Going back to basics. Well we went green, using things we had to make our cute sign. Again though I think we took the basic a little to serious. All the others looked like they were sewn and pressed and cloth and really nice. But I give credit to our girls, this was their idea and we went with it!

My sister... What can I say I always new she had a big mouth. 64 pieces of bubble gum! It was pretty grouse!

On Sunday our Brand new bishopric came up for the day. We had church outside! It was so beautiful and peaceful! I wish church was outside all the time!

This was after our service project (hence the hats and do rags!) We cleaned yards for the houses on the road leading to our beautiful camp!

The Fourth of July Part Two!

What a weekend! We had so much fun. But I did not take as many pictures as I had wanted. But here is what I have. The parade pictures are in no certain order, just showing a few of the parade entries. The first is probably of the Wells Fargo carriage that was used to run mail and bank stuff from Prescott to Phoenix. They still do this once a year around this time to commemorate the adventure. There were so many flags through the parade, standing up and sitting down. The picture above and below were with the rodeo. The girl in the top her and about five others did a routine at the rodeo. The horse below was a horse that they were showing. I was sad that I didn't take pictures here at the rodeo, but it was so muddy. The guys were knee deep for calf wrestling and the bucking animals were having a hard time kicking up. But all in all so much fun! This video is of my sister Summer. My mom said she would pay the guy $10 extra to buck her off!

Thanks to everyone involved in our July Fourth Fun! My family and the Schultz family for the cute kids and laughs!
